Miranda Colt Paralegal En The Irving Law Firm

Miranda Colt is an experienced Paralegal with The Irving Law Firm, specializing in Family Law. She helps the attorneys from behind the scenes, from drafting legal documents to scheduling meetings to preparing binders for trial and everything in between. While she takes on many tasks to support her attorneys, much of her time is devoted to communicating with clients and leading them through the detailed tasks of compiling and answering Discovery responses.

Before joining our team, Miranda lived in the Shenandoah Valley area, graduating from high school in 2016 with summa cum laude honors. She entered the workforce after graduating, working several jobs simultaneously including a golf club, Subway, and Walmart. In February 2021 she decided to take a step towards her career and joined ILF in an entry-level legal assistant position. By March of 2022 she had completed the Paralegal Studies Certificate course at James Madison University and was promoted to Paralegal. Since then, she has continued to refine and improve her knowledge of legal studies with hands-on work, attending CLEs and paralegal conferences, and occasionally assisting attorneys at court.

In her free time, Miranda enjoys casual bird-watching. She also has a passion for moths and will never miss an opportunity to photograph and attempt to identify a moth she happens to come across. When she isn’t outside, Miranda typically enjoys reading fiction novels and manga or watching anime.
