– Adopciones Por Padrastro O Madrastra

– Adopciones Por Agencia
A veces, un padre biológico confía su hijo a una agencia de adopción autorizada, que lo entrega en adopción a una familia elegida por la agencia.
– Adopciones En Régimen De Acogida
Con demasiada frecuencia, los niños que han sufrido abandono o malos tratos llegan a manos del Departamento de Servicios Sociales. Si los padres biológicos no pueden curar los problemas que causaron la retirada del niño de su hogar y se ha puesto fin a la patria potestad, el DSS dará su consentimiento para que la familia de acogida adopte al niño.
– Adopciones Interestatales
Una ley llamada The Interstate Compact on Placement of Children (Pacto Interestatal sobre la Colocación de Niños) establece en parte que ningún niño puede ser colocado para su adopción a través de las fronteras estatales a menos que la oficina del Pacto Interestatal de ambos estados haya dado su aprobación previa. Si una madre biológica quiere entregar a su hijo a una familia de otro estado, esto es muy importante. Las oficinas del Pacto Interestatal exigen una gran cantidad de papeleo que debe obtenerse rápidamente y facilitarse de acuerdo con la normativa, para que el niño pueda llegar al hogar adoptivo lo antes posible.
– Adopciones Por Familias Cercanas
Si el menor es entregado por los padres biológicos a familiares, la ley de Virginia prevé un proceso abreviado. No obstante, los requisitos variarán en función de las circunstancias.
– Adopciones De Adultos
La ley de Virginia permite la adopción de un adulto en determinadas circunstancias. Esto puede ser apropiado por varias razones.
– Adopciones Internacionales
La Ley obliga ahora a las agencias especializadas de países extranjeros a tramitar los asuntos de adopción en esos países. Sin embargo, una vez que se dicta una Orden Definitiva de Adopción en el país de nacimiento, la Ley de Virginia permite un procedimiento de adopción que permitirá al menor obtener un Certificado de Nacimiento en el Extranjero, que es muy importante que el menor tenga a lo largo de su vida.
– Adopciones Impugnadas
Hay casos en los que una adopción es apropiada, pero un padre biológico que no ha participado en la vida del niño, o que no está cualificado para ser padre, se opone al procedimiento. En estos casos se requiere un juicio. Se trata de procedimientos complejos y relativamente caros, pero que pueden redundar en el interés superior del menor.
