Elizabeth Reiter – Christmas Memories

As you can see from the picture I come from a family of seven, and we have always enjoyed large holiday celebrations with grandparents and often aunts, uncles and cousins.  Now that I have my own two children and one arriving in the next couple weeks, we are blessed to be surrounded by two families that are expanding quickly and adding to the holiday chaos.  The holidays are a time we cherish filled with family walks, meals, catching up and board games.  Over the past few years due to working schedules and accomidating in-laws, we have often “moved” Christmas so that all five siblings can celebrate together.  That’s the most important part of the holidays.

Because family and raising our children is so important to me, I am blessed to be able to work for children and families who are going through very tough times.  I always hope that by serving families and children in a legal capacity I am in the end assisting these families to have the best possible future even though the past has been rough.
It has been such a joy to introduce young children into our Christmas celebrations these past few years.  Their excitement is truly infectious and I know seeing their aunts and uncles is a huge part of the celebration.  Whether I am working on a family law case or doing an estate plan, I am always working to help a family through extremely trying times.  The holidays are such a special time to celebrate those closest to us, whether they are family members or close friends.  It is a time to remember that we are blessed with people we get to love and who love us in return.
